Life is Full of Decisions !

Hmmmm...I have about 2 years to figure out what I want to do when I "grow up".  Decisions decisions.....  I have some thoughts on the subject.  All I ever wanted to do growing up was to be a Mom.  I have been very happy fulfilling that dream! Being a mom & a daycare provider is the best, most rewarding job ever! and at the same time the hardest job ever!

I would love to work in a newborn nursery.....a CNA's dream job.  A nurses assistant in a nursery...wouldn't that be a blast!!!????  along with that I would love to help on the labor and delivery floor! Helping out the new moms with their tiny new little babies!!

Or .....................maybe work in a crisis pregnancy center as a ultra-sound tech or a counselor...to help these beautiful women know they have choices....choices that allow their precious baby to live!

All of these ideas require some schooling so we will see what happens!  I am excited what God has for me next!  I will always be a mom but as the kids leave home my role changes and that is exciting.

Who knows.... in a few years when #3 son starts out on his own...we may just pack up and team up to drive truck over the road!  I could drive one of those big rigs!  Hey!  that way we could pay of the house in a year or two!  Then,,,we would be debt free!!!  How great that would be!  That way I wouldn't have to work Full time so I can still have time for my family and to take care of our home!
Decisions....Life is Full of Decisions !

Meet Your Neighbors !

For the past year or so I have thought about how to get to know my neighbors better....it is sad how now days neighbors don't know eachother except for the smile and a wave as you drive by or a simple "hi-how-are-you" as they walk by and you happen to be out front.  What do you do? I finally wrote out invitations to have "coffee" at my house.  Finally this morning was the day.....4 grandma's came over and we had snacks and visited for 2 hours.  It was fun.  Next time there are 2 other gals that are younger that also may come.  Today the quietest lady, when it was time to go spoke up and said " Next time we can do it at MY house!"
They were all thrilled!  Made me glad!  2 of them are widows, one has parkinsons and the other is a loud mouth, hahaha.  All in all it was a great time and it is nice to get know my neighbors.

Good way to think for the New Year !!!

Take twelve fine, full-grown months; see that these are thoroughly free from old memories of bitterness, rancor and hate, cleanse them completely from every clinging spite; pick off all specks of pettiness and littleness; in short, see that these months are freed from all the past—have them fresh and clean as when they first came from the great storehouse of Time.

Cut these months into thirty or thirty-one equal parts. Do not attempt to make up the whole batch at one time (so many persons spoil the entire lot this way) but prepare one day at a time.

Into each day put equal parts of faith, patience, courage, work (some people omit this ingredient and so spoil the flavor of the rest), hope, fidelity, liberality, kindness, prayer, meditation, rest (leaving this out is like leaving the oil out of the salad dressing—don't do it), and one well-selected resolution.

Put in about one teaspoonful of good spirits, a dash of fun, a pinch of folly, a sprinkling of play, and a heaping cupful of good humor.

As I was reading a few blogs today I ran across this post.  So I copied it off of http://www.pamsmidwestkitchenkorner.blogspot.com/  please visit this site.
Also http://www.mykindofcooking.blogspot.com/ is a great recipe blog!

Red Neck Woman Like Me

A couple of weeks ago it had been unusually cold here at night! FREEZING! You would never know I was from the mid-west!  Anyway our house was built in the 60's and none of the bedroom windows have been updated.  Needless to say they are quite drafty and I even have to lay towels on the window sill from moisture.  It is freezing up there when it gets so cold so I put sweat pants on..tuck the bottoms in my socks so the legs stay put, a tank top and a long sleeve shirt!  And that is how I go to bed!  Dan looked at me laughing and said " nothing like a red neck negligee! "  Yep! that's me!  LOL !
Hey!  at least I was warm!
won't be posting a real photo of that one!

some music I like....so get up and shake it ! Click the song you want to hear. Or press pause.
